HERE WE GO
First, this is not an attempt to grab the spotlight, but it is an attempt to fill the void left in the aftermath of our 50th anniversary. It is unlikely that I will be around to celebrate the 100th, thus the launching of this electronic notepad (blog) that hopefully will be viewed kindly by any and all members of the Corry Area High School Class of 1953.
There are no postage or printing costs involved either coming or going, so there won't be any solicitations of the users.
As we explore the acceptance of this form of casual communication, there will be some advertising (because the space is free). If class members find this "blog" format to be useful, the plan is to switch over to something without advertising (everything else would stay the same).
This first go round, I will email as many classmates as I can identify and invite you to try it out.
If you do a Google search for blog, you will get a kazillion examples of blogs that are used by families to stay up to date, by ego-maniacs to just see their life story in print, by political pundits, etc. etc. etc.
To demonstrate how simple it is: I have a motorhome parked in the driveway that I have been restoring for two years. I just recently replaced the formica countertop in the kitchen with Corian. It took 3 months to find a Corian dealer who would sell a six foot piece. When I finally surrendered and started shopping for a replacement formica top, the second place I went to asked if I would consider Corian. Go figure.
Have to add carpeting in the forward cabin to give the 5 schnauzers some traction to keep from skidding up under the dash when I make a quick stop; then replace the dinette with a computer station and it'll be ready to roll.
